Last week I got a chance to hang out with my buddy Shade again. Between training our own dogs (imagine that!) and having a few beers, I managed to coerce her into recording another podcast. We had been chatting about the concept of “Force Lite” (a term which I first heard from Shade, but she thinks maybe she heard somewhere else)… which is what happens when we don’t quite manage to hit the clickerly mark we usually are aiming for.

“Force Lite” can be sneaky… it catches us unaware… long after we’ve thought we’ve given up punishment.

But there are no easy answers here. Living a clicker lifestyle is HARD… harder in day-to-day life than it is in planned, formal training sessions.

In this episode, we talk about some examples and possible solutions. Again, no black & white answers here… but I think questions worth asking.
